Alice Cooper (the band, not just Vincent Furnier), is awesome. I always thought they were an extremely tight musical group. A great rhythym and horn section, and excellent guitar were an outstanding complement to "Alice's" vocals and lyrics. One of my favorite bands of all time, and "Goes to Hell" is definitely one of my favorite pieces of vinyl.

I haven't heard GOES TO HELL in many years, but I just scored a CD of his next album, LACE & WHISKEY for which I have a feeling much like yours for the album under discussion.

I've always loved Alice and some memory of the awesomeness of his cover of Warren Smith's "Ubangi Stomp" and how cool the choir and horns sounded on "King of the Silver Screen" made me pick it up at Amoeba. Hot Damn! "Road Rats" is a nice bit of the old other and "It's Hot Tonight" is worthy of BILLION DOLLAR BABIES or KILLER. I always favored even the weirdest of his rockers over the ballads (most disagree!), but "You & Me" was always my favorite of his slow songs.
